GRANT FUNDS WEEKLY ACTIVITIES TO BRING TOGETHER PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES
Love Me Love My Mind has received £2,500 to fund a weekly drop in session for those who are socially isolated and living with mental health issues in Epsom.
The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.
Love Me Love My Mind aims to promote better understanding of mental health and to support the wellbeing of everyone in the community. The grant will provide activities and outings, helping members to become more socially included and to make connections with the local community.
Sue Bull, Chair at Love Me Love My Mind said: “It is wonderful to receive this grant from the Santander Foundation. It will make so much difference to the lives of the many people who look to the drop in as a place of safety, enjoyment, acceptance and peace.”
Julie Maye, Branch Manager at Santander’s Epsom High Street Branch, said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Love Me Love My Mind, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”
