LOVE ME – LOVE MY MIND CELEBRATES £10,000 BIG LOTTERY FUND GRANT

Love Me – Love My Mind has received a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

The grant has been awarded to support their regular Monday drop-in sessions for people socially isolated through mental health and their Epsom Mental Health Week 2018.

Love Me Love My Mind is a small registered charity based in Epsom Surrey which aims to promote better understanding of mental health and to support the wellbeing of everyone in the community.

Sue Bull, Chair of Love Me Love My Mind said ‘Following on from our fantastic 10th anniversary Mental Health and Wellbeing Festival we are delighted to have received this funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

The funding will help us run our regular drop-in sessions and plan a number of outings and activities for the group. In the coming weeks we have trips planned to go bowling, a Christmas trip to London, and will also make Christmas puddings!

By sharing and enjoying a variety of activities together we bring together people from all walks of life, those experiencing mental illness, addiction, isolation or loneliness, volunteers and professionals.  This enables a number of people to experience opportunities that they may previously not had a chance to do and members are encouraged to be active in deciding the programme of activities.”

The funding is being awarded by the Big Lottery Fund which distributes money raised by National Lottery players to support what matters to people and communities.
