Welcome to Love Me Love My Mind

Love Me Love My Mind began in September 2006 with a drop in based at St Barnabas Church, Temple Road, Epsom. Although specifically for people with mental health issues this was open to all. Since then our work has expanded to include:

Holding a drop in on Monday evenings.

This is specifically for people with mental health issues but which open to all .  It begins at 4pm with coffee and cake, games and chat.  There is always a home cooked meal and usually some activity run by outside speakers – line dancing, quiz, art etc. before the drop in closes at 7pm.  People are free to come and go as they please.  Average attendance is between 18 – 25 people.

Providing information to the general public on how mental health and learning disability issues affect communities

This has included the establishment of the first, successful, annual Mental Health Awareness Week in Epsom in October 2008.  The next Epsom Mental Health Awareness Week starts on Sunday 7th October 2012 until Saturday 13th October!  Visit www.epsommentalhealthweek.org.uk to find out more about the event.

The hosting of conferences and seminars

These bring together users, carers and professionals, faith group leaders and others concerned with the provision of mental health and learning disability, to break down barriers and to work together for improved care for people with a mental illness, learning disability, carers, and anybody going through a time of emotional or mental distress.

Love Me Love My Mind is a local registered Charity, number 1125595.
